I haven’t written in months, but after watching the President’s address on Afghanistan, jotting down a few things seems only fitting. I’m currently being forced to watch El Capeton Douché, who seems befuddled that President Obama didn’t clearly spell out his plan to his generals during this world wide televised event. I’m not sure if he was waiting for tactical blueprints to the US offensive approach to Afghanistan or what…
Those on the left, feel it their duty to be critical (Maxine Waters and her Deloris Tucker impression taking lead on Keith Olbermann’s show was highly critical of his speech). Keep it 100, she should have been critical of that wig on her head, but that is petty and beside the point ~ but it had to be said…lol Back to my point, her criticism is okay, but when she says the plan has “oddly no end”, I’m not sure what she was listening to because he gave a time table of 18 or 19 months, I believe… Back to her wig, maybe that was in her ears when he gave that time table…I’m just sayin! Furthermore, throughout Obama’s campaign he said he was going to shift focus on Afghanistan, so why are people surprised? Those on the right feel he shouldn’t be giving any time tables as well as sending more troops than the 30K. The truth lies somewhere in the middle, and he’s in a lose-lose situation. Truth be told there is no easy decision about a war that was inherited after 7 years of failure. Now is not the time to talk tough about what you coulda, woulda, or shoulda done, but it’s time for exit strategies that protect people instead of using them as pawns in a deadly game of war.
The truth is always a tough pill to swallow, and it isn’t what people want to hear all the time especially when it comes to war. Would they prefer tough talk and cheer leading for war, which former VP Cheney has no problem of doing ~ he basically accused Obama of treason before his speech when he as you can see in the video below ~ wait for it, wait for it @ 3:09
War is not to be romanticized or talked toughly about like President Barack Obama’s predecessors clearly had no problem doing… There is no winner when war is the only option.

here is my say

Yes it’s true it is a very hard decision for him, but I think he’s thinking the best thing that he need to do.

I’m going to have to ride with the right wing on this one, G. He should not be sending 30k more troops and giving a definitive date for withdrawal. He needs to remove these spoon-fed, Harvard grad lawyers who are making the ROE that have never even been in a damn fist fight. This war is being lost because of the media and the liberals. 30k more troops = more US casualties. The troops can’t even do what WE pay training them to do, kill. Some of these dickwad, gay loving, animal worshiping SOB’s need to realize that in a time of war there will be collateral damage, innocent people killed specifically. It’s sad but that’s just the way it is.
Peace

Bwwwoi stop… I’m glad your so willing to accept civilian casualties, hoss… It’s a war that needs to come to an end. You don’t win a war these days w/ brute force – you win it by winning the hearts and minds of the ppl you are “supposed” to be fighting the war for… This isn’t a video game. Those civilian casualties in Iraq & Afghan have just as a right to life as you or I…
ps. no time table = never ending war… is that what you really want? Everything is politics, hoss
